Teeth Whitening

Your smile is the way you greet the world.  Many people feel self-conscious about the shade of their teeth or staining on their teeth. Whilst you have many options for whitening your teeth, at Campbell Dental Practice our team of dentists can help you to transform your smile with a SAFE and approved whitening system.

A bright, white smile can help you to exude confidence and meet everyday challenges with an enhanced sense of self-assurance. At Campbell Dental Practice we offer Philips Zoom whitening treatment which entails minimal effort yet achieves maximum results, and best of all, it is easily attainable within a very short time frame.

Philips Zoom treatment whitens teeth up to 6 shades in 1 hour.  Over 4 million patients have used Philips Zoom worldwide and we feel this is the safest, easiest and most effective way to achieve a perfect, healthy smile.

Once you have attended the practice for a consultation your dentist will assess the type of staining you have and advise you of what level of whitening could be achieved.  If you opt for this Philips Zoom whitening you will be asked to attend an appointment for your dentist to take impressions of your teeth.  These are used to make the custom whitening trays to fit snugly for your teeth.

The at-home whitening treatment offers you a choice of treatments depending on your lifestyle, whitening expectations and sensitivity levels. The Nitewhite options allow you to whiten your teeth whilst you sleep and DayWhite allows you to whiten for a shorter period of time during the day. In both options, the process is activated gel inserted into the custom tray that transfers it onto your teeth.

Invisalign

Do you dream of improving your smile but don't want to wear conventional metal braces? If so, the ‘invisible braces’ from Invisalign provide the perfect solution to create your perfect, healthy smile whilst not interfering with your daily activities.

Invisalign is a well established and highly advanced dental treatment that straightens teeth using a series of clear, removable aligners that fit discreetly over your teeth.  Here at Campbell Dental Practice, we provide Invisalign treatment that is carried out by Dr Kin Parekh.

How long does it take to complete the treatment?

Invisalign only works while you wear the aligners so we recommend aligners should be worn day and night, except when eating, brushing or flossing teeth in order to complete your treatment in the timeline outlined by your dentist.

The amount of time you will need Invisalign will vary depending on the movement needed to fully straighten your teeth however the average treatment time is between 5 and 12 months.

During your treatment, you will come in for checkups every four to six weeks to allow your dental practitioner to monitor your progress and provide you with your next series of aligners.

As the treatment progresses, you will notice a gradual movement in your teeth, slowly transforming into a healthy smile by the end of your treatment time.

Veneers can also be used to close small gaps when braces are not suitable. If one tooth is slightly out of position, a veneer can sometimes be fitted to bring it into line with the others.

At Campbell Dental Practice dental, veneers applied directly to the front teeth are the most common cosmetic procedure carried out. Treatment enables patients to leaves the practice with the smile they have always desired, without the need for complex orthodontic treatment such as braces.

White Fillings

If you require a filling in your tooth, a subtle cosmetic option would be to choose a white filling material that matches the shade of your surrounding natural teeth. You can also have any existing metallic fillings replaced with tooth-coloured or 'white' fillings. This will allow you to smile without a metallic glint in sight, giving your teeth a more natural appearance overall.

Many of our patients at Campbell Dental Practice choose white fillings over metal fillings as they are discrete and provide the same function as traditional metal fillings.

If you require a filling, your might also recommend seeing our hygienist, Charlotte Sporston, how can advise you on the correct care for your teeth and gums and how to prevent decay damaging your teeth over time.

Here is how white fillings work:

This is a safe procedure that entails the removal of any decay from your tooth and taking out the metal or amalgam fillings if you are having them replaced.

The new filling is made from a very hard tooth-coloured substance and will withstand the forces in your mouth when you bite and chew over a long period of time.

The restoration is completed in one visit and your fillings will not be visible when you smile.

Life Benefits

  • Natural-looking restoration.

  • Improved cosmetic appearance of filled teeth while still being able to bite and chew as usual.

  • Hard-wearing restorative solution.

Although this treatment is not a tooth whitening therapy, the AirFlow will significantly improve tooth brightness and give you a noticeably sparkling fresh healthy mouth in an instant.

What is Airflow Polishing?

AirFlow polishing is a hygiene cleaning treatment that uses a mixture of air, jet water and fine powder to gently and effectively blast away stubborn stains and any plaque on your teeth, returning them to their natural whiteness. It can be compared to a mini jet wash of your teeth.

The tooth surface is not damaged during this cleaning procedure. This method is quick and painless allowing reaching and cleaning all those difficult to access areas such as the tight spaces in between the teeth. Your teeth will look and feel refreshingly clean. This is also an ideal method to remove any underlying stains or scale before having tooth whitening treatment.

This treatment does not include chemicals and poses no risk to patients. AirFlow is an advanced polishing treatment that allows you to walk away the same day with amazingly clean results.
